This is a late 1800s Appalachian family heirloom corn, carefully cultivated over generations in eastern Kentucky. This unique corn variety has multicolored ears with stunning shades of red, blue, purple, white, and orange kernels. Some ears are fully red or blue, while others display a beautiful mix of colors. 

This heirloom corn adds a uniquely delicious taste to cornbread, muffins, pancakes, corn sticks, fritters, hush puppies, and spoon bread. Heirloom corn is known for it’s depth of flavor that comes from farmer-preserved seeds that have been selected for the best flavor. It is easier to digest than hybrid corn. By stone grinding, the germ and the hull of the corn remain providing a whole grain corn that is good source of fiber and naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. There has been no genetic modification or hybridization to heirloom corn.
