Spiral Cut Ham Glaze and Heating Instructions

While our Spiral Hams do arrive fully cooked, glazing and warming in the oven is a must if you want to enjoy the full experience. If you are looking for the boneless ham heating instructions, click here.

Our three ingredient glaze adds the touch of sweetness so often associated with holiday hams. Pepper with cloves for an extra festive flavor.

Our hams arrive frozen, so make sure to plan ahead. The rule of thumb for thawing in the refrigerator is 1 day for every 5 LBS of meat. So if you have a 10 LB ham, give yourself 2 days to thaw in the refrigerator.

Holiday Ham Glaze

Ingredients

1 Cup Dijon Mustard

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

1/2 Cup Honey

Cloves Optional

Directions

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 275°F. Remove outer wrapping and bone guard (if applicable) from ham.

Step 2

Mix dijon, sugar and honey. You can also add some allspice and ground clove for extra holiday spice flavor. Pack glaze onto ham, don't be shy getting some glaze between the slices.

Step 3

Place ham flat side down in a roasting pan and add 1/2 inch of water to the pan (approximately 2 cups).

Step 4

Roast at 275℉ for 15 minutes per LB, basting every 15-30 minutes with accumulated pan juices until the internal temperature reaches 140°F. If you want a crispier glaze, stop basting for the final hour. Please note, cook times by oven may vary. If the cook is going long, you can speed up the process by covering the pan + ham tightly with aluminum foil.

Step 5

Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 20 minutes. There is a ton of flavor in the reserved drippings, so if you wanted to slice and serve the ham in the drippings, your guests will not be mad at you.
