Guess what? You don’t need to be a cooking expert to wow a crowd. This sausage will make you look like an amazing cook with almost zero effort. We are proud to say this was one of the first sausages we created for our stand at the farmers market: a flavorful, all-in-one Italian meal made with only fresh ingredients; no fillers or flavor additives. And since our pigs have the freedom and opportunity to use their muscles in the woods, the meat develops a deep, incredible flavor. Invite your friends over, because bragging season is here.
Our sausages are made with carefully selected trim from the entire hog. We only put lean meat and back fat into our sausages, making sure to trim out all the undesirable bits (ahem, unlike some other links out there). We season them, then add fresh ingredients like basil, oregano, garlic, and fennel to give it that great texture and flavor. Like all our sausages we use a natural casing to finish off that crisp, hearty bite. Ingredients: Pork, salt, sugar, fennel seed, coriander, paprika, oregano, basil, black pepper, pork casing
We always suggest starting our sausages on low heat, then crisping them up at the end. The indirect cooking method will prevent the natural casing from exploding and drying out your sausage. This sausage is great cooked off, placed on a bun with cheese and topped with pepper and onions.
